David and I like to celebrate anniversaries two ways: a trip somewhere or a dinner date.
We don’t always go somewhere far or eat somewhere fancy and we usually alternate between the two because of school schedules or to save money, but during a pandemic neither option seemed safe. Plus, we wanted to share this milestone with our friends and family who have been through the different stages of our lives—as individuals and together as a couple.
So, I asked on my Instagram what people wanted to know about us and we answered those questions in our Couple Q&A on YouTube. We share some memories, our secrets to thriving in our relationship, and a lot of laughs.
While we didn’t get to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in the ways we typically do, we had a lot of fun filming this together. We don’t document our lives together frequently (David’s pretty camera shy) and we probably wouldn’t have thought to ask each other all these questions, so this video is pretty special.

We’re not going to lie, it is hard quarantining together and finding joy during this pandemic, but these shared experiences also bring us closer together.
